It has taken me a while to figure out how to start my day MY way, to make it work for me.  What I mean by that is hitting that snooze button a few more times was more important than getting up early to meditate, self heal, getting up & “at em” in a way that sets my day in a very positive way.  Then I would hear myself telling my clients, friends & family “its hard to find the time to meditate, I’m so busy”.  To be frank, that is totally BS, it is NEVER too hard to find 10 -30 min a day for yourself!!! If you are this person, stop procrastinating, stop making excuses….. DO IT!

I have found what gave me the “umph” is the more knowledge, learning, studying my meditation certification course, my reiki practice & listening to others on the same light working path as me brought me closer to taking the step and enjoying it.

Don’t get me wrong, I do hit that snooze once, and its funny cuz the first few times I did this, I would be laying there during that 8 min snooze with the scenario of devil on one shoulder & angel on the other where the devil is saying “hit that snooze again” and the angel is saying “Deb, think of how good you will feel after you self heal”, well, I am proud and happy to say the angel won lol.

This is what worked for me……

I set my alarm 40 min before I HAVE to get up, like I said I do hit the snooze once, then alarm goes off again, I roll over and grab my phone click my youtube app, click on my self reiki, this is a little over 14 minutes, I will post link below (this will only work for reiki 1 Practitioners and above), then after this I do a 10 minute morning meditation positive affirmations, link will be posted below.  My favorite part of all of this, is I STAY IN BED during both ‘sessions”, some of us think we need to set up a mat, go to a sacred space, light candles the whole 9, well, you see, ME TIME, is just that, your time, your way…..I think when we set our minds on how we perceive meditation is supposed to be, its more “work” to set up your area etc…. which leads to us procrastinating & well, not doing it.  Now I am not putting down those who take the time for the said “set up” GOOD FOR YOU!!! That is awesome, but again, that is what works for you, not me.

After I get out of bed 30 min later, I make my coffee, take shower then I listen to “spa music” on Pandora while getting ready for my day…….The difference in my life has been amazing, and this is why I am finally sharing it with you.
